Karnataka: Like father, like son. Nikhil Gowda, son of former chief minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, is all set to kick start his filmy career in less than three months from now. Unlike his father, who started his career as a film producer, distributor and an exhibitor, Nikhil chooses to act!
The former chief minister made it official on Friday, saying that he is returning to producing films and that he will launch his comeback project within three months.
Needless to say, Mr Kumaraswamy referred to his son Nikhil Gowda, who is being trained for that biggest ‘launch’ in Sandalwood.
He made the announcement during the audio launch of the film Charlie directed by Shiva starring Krishna, Vaishali, Milana and others in the lead.
“I am making it public. Though I started my career in the film industry, politics kept me away, and now it has become ‘inevitable’ for me that I am returning to the industry very soon. There has been huge publicity and as well as expectations around my next comeback film as a producer. I assure all, that in three months, I will be launching the project,” said Mr Kumaraswamy while starting the countdown to his son’s filmy career. As a producer, the former CM had given hits like Chandra Chakori, Suryavamsha, and Galate Aliyandru amongst others.
The film producer turned politician, has also become fitness consciousness, he says, “I am doing regular exercises in the evenings without fail.” While in search of a perfect subject for the grand launch, both Mr and Mrs Kumaraswamy (Mrs Anitha Kumaraswamy owns a private television channel) are busy these days watching several super hits films and also hearing to hatke screenplays.
