U/A for Ambareesha, movie to release on Nov 21

So it is official, after the much-hype, publicity and drama, Darshan-Priyamani-Rachita Ram starrer Ambareesha is all set to release on Nov 21. Censor board U/A has awarded the movie with U/A certification, today. Only after censor certification, Ambareesha team officially announced the movie release date.

Highly anticipated movie of the year Ambareesha, which also stars Rebel Star Dr Ambareesh, has already broken records with respect to the satellite rights collection. Sources close to the movie said that Ambareesha has already made Rs 21 crores from satellite rights and distribution rights. This is the highest ever profit made by a movie in Sandalwood in terms of satellite rights.

The movie has been directed by Mahesh K Sukhadare under the banner of Sukhadare Production. To one’s surprise, the movie is actually not releasing in Santosh Theatre, which is considered as one of the important theatre for Sandalwood movies.  Currently Puneeth Rajkumar’s Power Star is running successfully at Santosh theatre and apparently the makers are not ready to replace Power Star with Ambareesha. The film distributors have decided not to release the film in any theatre located at Kemegowda Road, instead will release it across the state.

With all these, the movie is gearing up for release on Nov 21. Movie makers are also banking on multiplexes and multiplex audiences as Ambareesha has received U/A certification.

Actors Umashree, Sampath Raj, Sumalatha Ambareesh will be seen in pivotal roles in the film. The movie, which began shooting in Oct 2013, wrapped the shoot after much delay owing to bad health conditions of both Dr Ambareesh and Darshan.
