It's official now! On 9 November, the birth anniversary of late Kannada icon Shankar Nag, will now be celebrated as Auto-rickshaw Drivers' Day in Karnataka.
While the legendary actor-director's work on the screen involved playing a wide variety of roles, it is well known that auto-rickshaw drivers in Karnataka share a sort of belonging with him.
In the films he did, the versatile actor played an auto-rickshaw driver. The honour has been felicitated to him with the consent of his wife and actress Arundhati Nag.
