A new director joins the new wave of filmmakers in Sandalwood. Chethan Kumar has made a grand debut with Bahaddur, which after films like Addhuri of Arjun and Googly of Pavan Wadyar gives a new template to romantic films in Kannada. These films, including Bahaddur takes the romantic story of boy-meets-girl to the level where the rest of the characters are down to a bare minimum. Since all three have hit the bulls eye at the box office, it is safe to conclude that a new sub-genre in romantic films has emerged.
