Kolkata-born Sandalwood star Priyanka Upendra nee Priyanka Trivedi, wife of Kannada actor, director, producer, screenwriter, lyricist and singer Upendra, visited Kollur on Saturday and obtained a darshan of Shri Mookambika deity.
She was welcomed by temple executive officer L S Maruti. Speaking on the occasion, Priyanka said that although she hailed from a distant state, she had special attachment towards Kundapur taluk. It was because her husband Upendra has family roots here. .
Upendra, originally Upendra Rao and fondly addressed as Uppi, is currently camping in the coastal districts with the cast and crew of his forthcoming movie 'Uppi-2'. It has a long, hectic shooting schedule in picturesque outdoor locales in the undivided district.
She acted in the leading role with Upendra in Raa (Telugu - 2001) and H2O (2002). In 2003, they got married. Since then, they have acted together in Shrimati (2011).
