In the latest Kannada flick Namaste Madam, Sandalwood damsel Ragini Dwivedi plays a seductress who tries to break up the marriage of Srinagar Kitty and Nikesha Patel with her oomph and sex appeal. It looks like Ragini has done an encore in real life as well. If the whispers in Tollywood are to be believed, Ragini is responsible for the break-up between Telugu heartthrob Rana Daggubati and Tamil actress Trisha. For the record, Rana and Trisha have been in a steady relationship for the last few years and neither of them denied the news when media went to town with their off-screen antics. They were all over each other: at film dos, pubs, beaches and star weddings. There were even reports that the two were set to enter wedlock. Enter Ragini, and the much-celebrated relationship came crashing down - at least that's what reports emerging from Hyderabad indicate.
You may wonder how Ragini, an actress mostly restricted to Bangalore and Sandalwood, has charmed her way to Rana's heart? If our sources are to be believed, the two bumped into each other at an award function last year. Sparks flew, numbers and pleasantries exchanged and there has been a steady exchange of calls between the two. They say love makes distance shorter and sources in the industry say Ragini has been frequently flying to Hyderabad to meet her Mr Charm. Trisha, who was in the dark about the budding relationship, called it quits the moment she learned about Rana's new adventure. According to our Tollywood sources, Ragini and Rana were spotted at upscale Hyderabad eateries while Trisha was away shooting in Chennai.
When contacted, Ragini interestingly chose to maintain that often-quoted line in showbiz that "we are best friends".
