Sandalwood composer Arjun Janya is all set to make his Kollywood and Tollywood debut. The music director has had a working Diwali this year, putting together the soundtrack for Action King Arjun Sarja's upcoming trilingual Abhimanyu (Jai Hind 2 in Tamil and Telugu).
Arjun, we hear, replaces composer V Harikrishna, who had been announced as the music director at the launch of the film in Bangalore. While the reasons for this change remain unknown, actor-director Arjun confirmed the change. "Yes, Arjun Janya is scoring the music for my film(s)," he says.
The composer, meanwhile, is ecstatic. "I am currently in Chennai working on the soundtrack of the film. The brief is to have four songs and a theme track. We have finalized the score for one song. I am looking at having two melody numbers, a fast and peppy dance number and a promotional song, apart from the theme music," says Arjun, who is known to use B-town singers often for his compositions.
So, is he looking at living up to that track record or will he give singers from Bangalore the nod? "Frankly, we haven't decided on the singers yet. The aim right now is to compose some kickass tunes as this will be my debut in two big industries. I want my music to be heard," he says.
