Now, talk to Google Search in 5 languages

Google Search on mobile is acquiring new linguistic abilities. The newest version of the app will now be able to work with up to five languages automatically unlike the older version which could work with only one language.

Currently, if you use a smartphone like the Nexus 5, you can tell Google Search app to look for the nearby restaurant in 50 languages. But you can't speak in more than one language at a time. You have to select one language out of the available 50 and then stick to that unless you again change the language by going into settings.
But after the latest update, which is now available, the Search app will allow you to talk to it in five languages at the same time. The only condition is that you should not switch the languages midway in a sentence.
"For many people out there, speaking just one language isn't enough. More than half the world's population speaks two or more languages-and now Google can keep up. With the Google Search app on Android, you can speak in multiple languages and Google will understand you no matter which one you choose. So you can fire off a search for nearby restaurants in English, then dictate a text to your friend in French," David Eustis, an software Engineer at Google, wrote on the official Google blog.
To use the new feature, users will have to update the Search app of the phone or download it from the Play store. Once the app is available on your phone, you will have to "open Google Settings from the device's apps menu, tap Search & Now > Voice > Languages, and select languages." Users can select up to five languages.
