The Mumbai police announced today that they have cracked a high-profile sex racket in the city and arrested two models. Reports suggest that one of the arrested models was also a regular face in Savdhaan India, a famous crime show similar to Crime Patrol.
According to the cops, the agents of the racket shared pictures of models and actors with their customers through social media sites.
As reported in India Today, the police are yet to arrest the main culprit behind the racket. A police team raided a building near Film City and arrested the two models and another two persons - Sayra and Ashraf alias Aman - who were allegedly associated with the racket.
During the investigation, Aman revealed that one of the models, who worked in the famous crime show, is a Marathi actress. The police further said that the actresses used to charge between ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh per assignment. Most of their customers were from the corporate world, police said.
The police have registered a case and an inquiry is on. Senior officials claim that further searches and investigation could reveal more names from the television industry.
