,Bajaj and Triumph had announced their long-term, non-equity strategic partnership in 2017. Under the partnership, the duo will develop a new range of mid-capacity motorcycles. Earlier this year, the company has announced that the new motorcycles will be manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan plant. The new motorcycles are most likely to be retailed under the Triumph nameplate.
What’s interesting is that Bajaj could also introduce a neo-retro styled classic motorcycle to rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic, Jawa Classic and the newly-introduced Honda CB350. The company is already selling the Dominar 400 as a power cruiser, which is targeting a different set of buyers.
