After registering the case against Shruti last night on the directive of a local court, the Banjara Hills police station today transferred it to Jubille Hills police station on the point of jurisdiction, police inspector Santosh said.
A criminal court at Nampally Court Complex had earlier referred the petition against Shruti to police.
"As part of investigation into the case, we have recorded the statement of the petitioner and we will verify the documents before questioning the actress," the police officer said. The XXV Additional Chief Judge at city civil court had on March 25 passed an interim injunction order restraining the 29-year-old actress from accepting any assignment to act in a feature film before completion of shooting of the movie, being produced by Picture House Media Ltd, till April 8.
