Last year Shweta Basu was involved in prostution charges. Shweta has come over the bad phase of her life and is now set to make her Kannada debut with the movie Devravne Budu Guru, wherein she plays the role of an investigative journalist. The film also stars Akul Balaji, winner of second season of Bigg Boss Kannada.
Shweta is well known for the role that she played in the movie Iqbal. She played the role of Shreya Thalpade’s younger sister. She’s also known for her roles in the daily soaps Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Karishma Kaa Karishma.
