Google is reportedly in talks with the Indian government to bring its balloon-powered internet and kite-powered wind energy projects to India.
Google's Project Loon, which debut two years ago, makes use of high-altitude balloons, which is aiming to provide affordable internet to five billion people worldwide, living in remote areas with no access to the internet currently.
Given the importance of renewable energy in India, Google is also hoping to bring its kite-powered wind energy to India. An aeroplane-like kite tethered up to 300 metres which manoeuvres by the direction of the wind. The movement of the kite generates power.
Google hopes to begin production in 2016.
