Apple Watch is more powerful than the iPad

Apple’s Watch, the wearable that the world is waiting to own, is up for a big surprise. The the Watch will sport a powerful processor under the hood and it is said to be even more powerful than the first generation iPad launched by Apple way back in 2010.

MobileBurn reported that the Apple Watch sports an Apple S1 chipset, which, according to 9To5Mac, is almost at par with an iPad 2’s performance and the current generation iPod Touch, which feature an Apple A5 processor. If this is true, then the Apple Watch will be even more powerful than the iPad first generation.

However, as per a recent news article, Apple’s Watch, citing the powerful processor and the Retina-like display which can do 60fps, could be a huge power guzzler, enough to drain the battery within a few hours. As for Apple announcing the Watch shipping in April this year,  we hope the tech giant has made the necessary changes to extend the required battery life of the device.
