The recipe being shared is spinach cheese paratha which serves as a protein packed breakfast. The main ingredients for this parantha are as under-
Ingredients-
  • 1 cup Wheat flour
  • 2 cubes/slice cheese(20 grams each)
  • Spinach in puree form
  • Salt (as per taste)
  • 1-2 tablespoon butter/oil
  • Green chillis (optional)
Method of Preparation-
  • Wash spinach properly. Boil it in excess water. Let the spinach cool down and drain off excess water.
  • Grade cheese so that it can be stuffed in the paratha.
  • Make spinach puree by blending in a mixer.
  • Mix wheat, spinach puree, salt and chopped chillies to prepare a soft dough. Create equal sized balls. One ball would be one serving of paratha.
  • Take the dough ball and flatten it to prepare a round paratha.
  • Put graded cheese(as per taste) in the centre of paratha and roll the wheat from the sides covering the cheese such that a ball is formed with cheese in the centre.
  • Once again, flatten the ball to prepare a round paratha.
  • Put the paratha on a hot pan over medium flame.
  • When one side is cooked, pour a bit of oil on the other side and flip the paratha. Make sure that both sides of paratha are cooked.
  • Transfer the spinach cheese paratha to your plate and cut it into pieces.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dip.

Tip: Do not mix grated cheese directly in the dough. When cheese comes directly in contact with hot pan, it melts and sticks on the pan. It’s better to stuff cheese in the centre of the dough ball so that it does not melt and stick on the pan.
