Shweta Basu Prasad who was recently in news for running with the law has finally been given some respite. The Makdeeactress has finally got back to work and has turned scriptwriter for Phantom films.
Although Hansal Mehta had promised to sign her once she's back, Shweta clarified that no such offer has been made to her and Hansal Mehta has not yet approached her for any film.
Speaking to a leading daily, she also confirmed teaming up for Anurag Kashyap. She has been assigned the role of a script consultant at Phantom, which is owned by Anurag along with other filmmakers like Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikas Bahl and Madhu Matena.
Shweta does data curation and goes through potentially promising scripts and the actress feels that the job is helping her grow as an actor. And while one might think that she's taken up a new avenue to life, she is in no mood to give up acting. Instead, she even met Hansala Mehta to show him a documentary which she had made herself.
Her documentary titled Roots is based on Hindustani classical music and Mehta seems to have liked the short film as well. Given that things are falling back in place for the National Award winning actress, we hope to see her back on the silver screen soon!
