PM Narendra Modi envisions an Android Kashmir; skips Article 370, other controversial issues

Prime minister Narendra Modi on Monday skipped the sensitive issue of Article 370and instead tried to strike a chord with the people of the Valley promising development in exchange of their love and affection.
"As Pradaan Sewak (prime servant) your sorrow is mine, your pain is mine and your problem is mine. That is why we have to take Kashmir to new heights of development... I have come to share your sorrow. You have given me so much. There is nothing bigger than love. It is now my responsibility to return this love," Modi said in his emotional address at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium here.

Intelligence reports put the turnout at the rally at around 10,000. However, BJP spokesperson Khalid Jahangir said more than 30,000 people attended the rally.
Earlier addressing a rally in Samba Jammu, Modi said people have created a new history by voting in huge numbers and reposing faith in democracy. "You have shown to the world that ballot is more powerful than bullet. Finger on AK 47 trigger can kill people but the finger that presses EVMs can change the life of the country," he said.
Modi said the misguided youth are now feeling the burden of AK 47 and wants to try android one. "Times have gone and the misguided youth have realized that AK 47 is a burden. Now he thinks to get rid of 10 kg and wants android in hand. We have to create the power of android one. We want to give computer in hands so that they can live their
dreams," he said.

Invoking Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the Srinagar rally, Modi said he would fulfil the dream of former prime minister to restore aan baan and shaan (grace, glory and grandeur) of Kashmir.
"Atal Bihari Vajpayee had made a good beginning. The process Atalji started I have to take it forward. The dream Atalji had seen and I will have to fulfil it. I consider it my duty. Atalji had talked about insyanat, Kashmiriyat and jumorhat (humanity, pluralistic culture and democracy). These are the three pillars on whose support our Kashmir will attain aan. baan and shaan," he said.
Referring to Chattergam killings, Modi said for the first time the army gave a press conference admitting its mistake. "A case has been registered against those who did it. It is the proof of my good intentions. I have come to give justice," he said.
Lashing out at Congress and dynastic politics, Modi said he has came to Kashmir with a development mantra of sabka saath sabka vikas. "You have seen Congress, baap beti (father daughter of PDP) and baap beta (father son of National Conference) government. What did they give you? They did everything for themselves. Get rid of these three and give me chance to serve. I will make your dreams mine," he said.
Modi promised to boost the tourism and bring the tourists from all over the world to Kashmir in a bid to generate employment and help the economic development of the people. "For India what better than Kashmir to showcase to the world. We have to take Kashmir to the heights of development so that our Dal Lake remains busy with tourists," he said
Touching the hearts of people, Modi said Kashmir has also lost the children of innocent families and it is no mean a loss. "In Kashmir army jawans too have died and police men had also attained martyrdom. Kashmir has also lost the children of innocent families. This loss is no mean. No word has the power to fill this loss. By sharing the sorrow we can lessen the pain," he said.
