The opposition MPs on Wednesday continued to attack the NDA government in Rajya Sabha raising the issue of forcible religious conversions organised in Agra reportedly by groups linked to the ruling party's ideological mentor RSS.

The Opposition created uproar demanding reply by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to debate on communal violence. 
Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress MPs staged a silent protest before Mahatma Gandhi's statue in Parliament House against the government's alleged "misuse" of CBI against its members, including Ministers.

Launching a frontal attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior Congress leader Anand Sharma on Wednesday questioned the former's continued absence from Parliament.
"Opposition requests the government that there needs to be a discussion about state of affairs in the nation and the Prime Minister needs to be a part of that. There is a wide attempt to spread communal tension, polarization and he needs to tell us what is being done to stop that," said Sharma. Read more

CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury asks PM Narendra Modi to present his government's report in Parliament
Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Sitaram Yechury on Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi should present a report in the Parliament highlighting the accomplishments of his government in the last six months.
"The Prime Minister should present a report in the Parliament about whether the leaders of the ruling party did some productive work as well others, than making (controversial) speeches," Yechury told the media outside the Parliament here. Read more

Congress, TMC, NCP, Left walk out from Lok Sabha accusing government of misleading House on schools being told to remain open on X'Mas Day.
Lok Sabha on Wednesday witnessed uproar over the reported move to keep schools open on Christmas with several opposition parties accusing government of "misleading" the House and implementing Sangh Parivar agenda, evoking a sharp attack on the Gandhi family from treasury benches.
Congress, TMC, Left and NCP walked out of the House, expressing dissatisfaction over government's reply that Christmas holiday will not be disturbed as it observes 'Good Governance Day' to mark the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, which is also on December 25. Read more

Lok Sabha adopts resolution condemning 'barbaric, cowardice' terror attack on school in Pakistan
Parliament on Wednesday stood as one in condemning the killing of 141 persons, including 132 children, by terrorists in a school in Peshawar in Pakistan.
Members in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha stood in silence as a mark of respect to the memory of the departed and mourned the killings in the gruesome terrorist attack and conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Soon after both the Houses met, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari rose to condemn the tragic incident and expressed shock and outrage at the senseless and brutal killing. Read more

Trinamool members protest against alleged misuse of CBI
Wearing black bands on their mouth, Trinamool Congress MPs on Wednesday staged a silent protest before Mahatma Gandhi's statue in Parliament House against the government's alleged "misuse" of CBI against its members, including Ministers.
