Rumours were rife that Kahaani director Sujoy Ghosh was secretly meeting Deepika Padukone on the sets of Pikuwhile the actress was in Kolkata. Reports claimed that the director was planning to sign Deepika Padukone for his next film, which already stars Saif.
But the director has quashed all rumours saying that it was nothing more than a friendly visit to the sets of the film. Sujoy, who knows Amitabh Bachchan and Shoojit Sircar decided to drop by on the sets to do some adda.
But when reports of Deepika being signed on as the lead started doing the rounds, Sujoy came out and cleared the air. Not Deepika but now we hear Sujoy has already roped in Kickstar Jacqueline Fernandes for the titular role.
Jackie has previously worked with Sujoy in Aladin. In a chat with a ;leading daily, she also accepted being approached by the director. The actress seems happy to be able to team up with Sujoy and Saif yet another time and is awaiting for the paper work to be completed.
