New technology takes pizza orders by reading people's minds

A new technology has been recently introduced, which allows diners to order pizza with just their eyes, as the digital menu can reportedly read consumers' minds.

Pizza Hut, who has been testing the technology since October in UK, has named it "the world's first subconscious menu," which has a special eye-tracking tablet, the Washington Post reported.

The digital menu shows diners a canvas of 20 toppings and builds their pizza, from one of 4,896 combinations, based on which toppings they looked at longest. To try again, a diner can glance at a "restart" button.

The menu, built by Swedish eye-tracking firm Tobii Technology, was the product of six months of retina-scanning development and "psychological research."
