Multi- Purpose Agri-Bot:
Main Objective of this project is to reduce burden on farmers . Farmers being the backbone of our country their health is of utmost importance .Every year farmers suffers from health diseases like cancer, skin diseases ,lung cancer etc, due to use of harmful pesticides .Inorder to prevent them from chemical exposure the entire operation can be automated . So we have bulit a robot which serves as a remedy.The robot with minimal inputs regarding the area of field does this job effeicently.
Working:
The robot not only does the spraying of pesticides but also comes in with extra functionalities like Seed sowing and Weed removal hence the name Multi-Purpose Agri-Bot. The entire operation is divided into three modes of operation
1.Pesticides Spray
2.Seed Sowing
3.Weed Cutter
Pesticides Spray:
The user provides the area information to the robot with simples switches and knobs (a very easy to use interface) and once this is done the robot is ready. The main principle behind plant detection is not the image or video analysis but simple PIR sensors . The temperature difference between two plants will trigger a pulse to
robot which then stops and captures an image with intel galileo on board does plant detection with OpenCV C++ imge processing and starts spraying action onces done it moves to next plant . Then it repeats it over the entire area of the farm. The robot takes also into account of plants it served and all the images are stored locally onto SD card in increasing order along with timings information for further image analysis .
Seed Sowing :
In this mode of operation the robot takes one more input along with area of field that is seed sowing distance. The robot simply hovers the distance whenever the given distance is reached the robot sows the seeds .
Weed Cutter
The robot with all the inputs simply cutts unwanted weeds . Whenever an objected is detected along its path it indictes with buzzer and stops cutting operation.
