Max Fashion, in association with Times Foundation and BBMP, initiated a Clean Bengaluru drive on Saturday.
The event was inspired by the Swachh Bharat initiative that was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the eve of Mahatma Gandhi's 145th birth anniversary. Max, as an organization, wants to make a contribution to the cause. It had identified an area in Indiranagar which was cleaned during this programme. The brand invited its customers and employees to volunteer for the initiative.
The response to the drive was good as many people joined in, equipped with broom in hand. Sandalwood actress Meghana Gaonkar also attended the cleaning drive. Speaking at the event, Jiten Mahendra, AVP Marketing, of the company, said, "This is a unique initiative where our employees and customers have enthusiastically volunteered to make Bengaluru a cleaner city. We wish to continue this effort in many more cities."
