Google kills production of Nexus 5

Reports have emerged that Google has stopped production of its popular Nexus 5 series and "Once they're gone, they're gone."

TechRadar reported yesterday that a Google official confirmed the news, after they confronted them about the removal of the red and white versions of the phone from the Play Store. It seems like a move on Google's part to shift its consumer base over to the Nexus 6; a bad move in my opinion, considering the Nexus 5 was a power performance machine since it's launch, and has just been revitalized by the latest Lollipop upgrade and Material Design.
While no new models will be manufactured, the phone will obviously remain available till retailers can get rid of the remaining stock. Don't be surprised if the prices suddenly shoot up though. this is, after all, the last chance to get your hands on the phone.
