Google is finally bringing Chromecast to India, almost a year and a half after it's worlwide launch, and it's priced at Rs 2,999. The device will be available onSnapdeal starting midnight of December 10, to coincide with the start of Google's Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF).
Chromecast is a device the size of a thumb drive that plugs into the HDMI port of HD television sets and allows users to stream content from online media services like Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and Google Play.
The device can connect with smartphones and PCs to stream online content to your television set but, for copyright purposes, will not be able to stream local content to another device. But this also allows secondary screen projection, allowing smartphone or chrome browser users to use their television as a device screen.
