Facebook has reportedly announced its decision to remove the Bing search engine from its platform as it ends a four-year-long online relationship with Microsoft's search engine.
A Facebook spokesman said in a statement that the move was prompted by a shift in focus aimed at helping users find what has been shared with them on Facebook, reported the CNET. Microsoft, which still owns a tiny but valuable stake in Facebook, also confirmed the move.
However, both companies stressed that they would continue to partner in other areas.
