Bangalore soaks in one of the biggest video gaming fests staged in the city

~ Dumadu games hosted first edition of the Video Game Fest in association with Microsoft ~

·       Over 30 Games including DOTA 2, Call of Duty (Advanced warfare), FIFA 15, Asura, Monster Truckunleashed among others were showcased
·       Over 300 participating developers and gaming technology companies exchanged ideas under one roof. Some of the inde-developers included – Digikhel, Ogre Head Studio, Madras Games, Moon Frog, Time plus Q, Tiny Mogul
·       Close to 12000 people attended the one-day gaming extravaganza

Bengaluru. Leading cross-platform game development company, Dumadu Games played host to the first edition of the Video Game Fest 2014 in association with Microsoft at the Elaan Convention Centre.

Riding on the growing popularity of gaming culture in the city, Dumadu conceived and showcased this multi-platform video gaming fest for the first time in Bangalore to bring together gamers, developers, gaming institutes, all under one roof. With the pivot of the event circled around gamers, the fest hosted close to 12000 participants and serious gamers, till close of day. Ensuring the event had an all-encompassing edge, over 200 participating developers, exhibitors, both established and inde-developers, engaged in a highly interactive developers meet as part of the exhibit.

Sharing his excitement Narasimha Reddy, Founder and CEO, Dumadu Games, said, “The success of our event is reflected in the fantastic response we received from participants, gaming developers and the industry stalwarts for the first edition of Video Game Fest. Our attempt to host this one-of-its-kind cross-platform Video Game Fest was to reinstate that gaming as a medium in India has been witnessing a multi-fold growth over the past few years and platforms like this, will give immense thrust to the gaming community in India.”

Some of the key highlights from the event included:

·       Dumadu launched its much awaited Monster Truck Unleashed, Wild Run, for Android and Windows Phone 8
·       Developers conference and key note speakers included:
·       Ujjawal Kumar from Microsoft India spoke on Gaming in India
·       Vidyasagar Machpalli from Microsoft India, MVP spoke on Best practices in Game development
·       Arpit Jain from Greedy Games spoke on Importance of analytics in games
·       Thomas Newman from Cash Play spoke on Make more money on your games
·       Abhishek Nandy from Intel Software Innovator spoke on Developing X-Platform using Intel Software tools
·       Over 10 lakh worth prizes were won across multiple competitions including DOTA 2, FIFA 15, Cosplay, and other mobile contests and competitions
