Akshay has been tagged as Khiladi Kumar since time immemorial and now we hear that the actor, who performs deathdefying stunts in most of his films, was denied permission to do a stunt sequence for The Shaukeens in Mauritius. The stunt was touted as extremely dangerous by officials who felt that even one wrong move would prove fatal for the actors.
The stunt required Akshay Kumar along with the film's leading lady Lisa Haydon to sit on a couch which was attached to a helicopter and would fly over the sea. The stunt required a trained pilot who could easily manouvre the movements of the helicopter. Akshay did not even want to put on safety cables as he felt it would dilute the entire sequence.
Finally, everything went well and the shot was captured beautifully. Not just that, Akshay even popped a bottle of champagne on the couch after the stunt was over!
