An epic tale of romance, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has become the longest running Indian film and is all set to enter its 1000th week in the second week of December.
YRF has made some extensive plans of promoting the film, once again before the special day reminiscing the fond memories attached with the film. Shah Rukh Khan turns nostalgic and talks about their plans of celebrating the special occasion.
"Few days ago, I had a talk with Kajol. There will be some interviews where we will talk about the film. Also there was 15-20 minutes footage from the film which was edited- that would be shown to everyone. I haven't met Adi for sometime but we are planning to watch the film at Maratha Mandir when DDLJ completes 1000 weeks. Not only for me, Kajol, Adi or for a particular generation, but this film defines an era. Everybody has a certain connect with that film; I still hear stories of people saying that we got married because of DDLJ. So it has now become much more than just a film. Nobody knew the film would have such an impact when we were making it. So the 1000 weeks completion, we believed is the perfect moment for all of us to come together again and feel happy about being a part of such a film. It is definitely a milestone, as well because if I am not wrong, DDLJ is the second longest running film in the world. There would be some celebrations and I am sure YRFwill plan it out beautifully as always. I am proud to be a part of such a film. And now that Yashji is no more, toh unki yaad ke liye bhi, we will do something for Dilwale," SRK smiled.
