The Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to be a game changer for the company after the poor earnings in the third quarter of this year. Its alleged codename – Project Zero – has also hinted that the device could be very different from its predecessors.
The South Korean electronics giant's Galaxy S6 should have much superior features than the Galaxy S5 for more reason than one. The fact that Galaxy S5 failed in the smartphone market, which was reflected in the decreased profit margin of the company's mobile phone sector, must have sent an alarm to its makers that feature upgrades without significant changes is not enough.
The Galaxy S5 is not different from its predecessor, the Galaxy S4, except for a few feature upgrades and that disappointed many Samsung fans who were expecting something new from the flagship device. So, Samsung needs to bring drastic change to its upcoming device in order to win back the trust of the people.
Moreover, Samsung has to compete with its arch-rivals like the recently released Apple's iPhone 6 and upcoming devices like Sony Xperia Z4 and HTC One (M9) besides meeting the expectations of its fans and gadget lovers.
Fans will be expecting a new look besides feature upgrades from the Galaxy S6 and Samsung seems to be working towards it if one to go by the latest reports.
It is reported that Samsung Galaxy S6 will sport a 5.5-inch display with a 1440 x 2560 quad HD screen resolution (554ppi) or even a 3840x2160 display resolution. It may have full metal body, powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or Exynos 7420 processor, run on Android 5.0 Lollipop, and have 32/64/128GB internal memory. According to Christian Today, the device will come packed with 4GB RAM, 4000 mAh battery, and a 21MP main camera and 6MP front snapper.
