Battery that can Bend and Samsung has it

Have you heard about Samsung SDI? If no, then you must know that it is the Samsung’s corporate division that is dedicated to things related to energy and battery. This division has recently shown the rollable, bendable and thin battery the latest InterBattery 2014 convention in South Korea. This battery is also receiving the title of world truely flexible battery, also it is claimed to be versatile in ways like it can roll around the side of the cup and still operate like normal, isn’t that great news!

Surely this battery is made while keeping the Wearable technology in mind. Also this battery is reported to be seen in U shape, that is completely amazing. With the development of this flexible battery it is now speculated that the future Samsung wearable products will be more comfortable and design will be great.

According to the company, the development phase of this battery is finished but technology is still growing. Also no time frame has been mentioned about the usuage of this truly flexible battery in smart wearable products. 

LG’s equivalent of the Samsung SDI i.e LG Chem has been heard talking about the flexible batteries. According to LG Chem these batteries are so flexible that an individual can tie up in a knot. Again, according to the company the production of cell will take time to evolve for production.

I think we have to just sit and wait for technology development and I hope in near future more smart wearable may arrive because of the technology advancement!
