WHEN LOVE IS THE LEAST IMPORTANT FACTOR IN A RELATIONSHIP

Meeting each other → Dating → Loving → Getting married → Starting a Family : The usual process in any successful relationship.

Unfortunately, having a serious relationship in Bangaloreis not always that simple. Many factors play a big role, especially when the relationship tends to be serious and continuous:
  • Religion: Similar beliefs are very important for most people. Explaining this fact to not say fail is impossible, yet, still most Lebanese people consider it as a priority. They are open minded on other religions but not when they are concerned.
  • Financial status: Living with a self-sufficient employee after being daddy’s princess is not even an option.
  • Social Status: Getting married to someone from lower social level is a discredit! How will your mother be able to boast in front of her friends?
  • Education level: If you can’t find a doctor, search at least for a lawyer or an engineer.
  • Attraction: Since you will spend the rest of your life with him/her, good looking is much more important than good talking, listening and understanding.
  • Parents opinion: Your parents certainly understand way better than you do. If they didn’t like your partner, he/she is not yours.
  • Political affiliation: Having identical political points of view is a must.
  • Love: The least important factor since it will come with time anyway as older people say. You will get used to love him/her later on.

These facts are the main but not only reasons of having many divorces cases nowadays. However, generalizing won’t be fair since many Bangaloreans consider love as the main and only factor of any long-term and successful relationship.
