Google just announced Android 5.0 Lollipop on Wednesday, which delivers plenty of brand new features that will hit supported Android devices. Motorola chimed in with a list of the phones that are currently scheduled to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, which is good news considering that it rolled out Android 4.4 KitKat incredibly quickly last year. So which phones are on the list?
Right now Android 5.0 Lollipop is scheduled to hit the Moto X, the Moto X (2014), the Moto G, the Moto G (2014), the Moto G with 4G LTE, the Moto E, the Motorola DROID Ultra, the Motorola DROID Maxx and the Motorola DROID Mini. Motorola says it hasn’t firmed up exact timing for the roll-outs but, again, for those unlocked devices mentioned above, we suspect Lollipop will hit sooner than later. Meanwhile, Motorola it’s working with its partners for the roll-out, too, which means the DROID Maxx, DROID Mini and DROID Ultra will need Verizon’s approval first.
We’ve included a link to Motorola’s device upgrade page below for more information.
