Bigg Boss season 8: Fallen stars hope for second innings

The journey Bigg Boss's eight season began on an 'abandoned' airplane with a bunch of celebrities whose careers are yet to take off.
Host Salman Khan, donning a pilot's uniform, introduced 12 contestants 'onboard' the flight in the opening episode.

Locked up in an aircraft, the drama might begin sooner than the audience expects with no kitchen or running water supply for the contestants.

Minissha Lamba, known for her appearance in films such as Bachna Ae Haseeno and Yahaan, is the only star attraction among the entire lot of contestants, most of whom have failed to make a mark in their respective fields of career.
In the past seasons, the USP of Bigg Boss has been bringing in contestants who shot to fame by courting controversies. The new season, however, has contestants who seem desperate to gain some quick fame.
Raj Babbar's son Arya, whose Bollywood career has had very few fireworks-barring his supporting roles in films such as Guru and Tees Maar Khan - was introduced as the 'brat of the house' by none other than last season's spoilt brat Armaan Kohli.

Model-actor Upen Patel, whose only high perhaps is sharing screen space with Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar in Namaste London, is all set to step into the shoes of past seasons' handsome hunks Ashmit Patel and Kushal Tandon.
Reality show veteran Karishma Tanna, who was last seen in Grand Masti, could be this season's Gauhar Khan, while model Diandra Soares, who is most recognised for her bald look on the ramp, came is as the 'whacky contestant' with her hair coloured green to ape previous season's contestant and hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani.

The Expose starlet Sonali Raut, who failed to create an impact with her debut film, seems to have come prepared to be the 'babe' of the house just like last season's Sana Khan.
