Google introduced Hangouts to the masses some time in the middle of last year on an official basis, and Hangouts played the role of being a replacement for Google Talk, and it has since worn the hat of being Google’s official instant messaging app. Well, Hangouts hasn’t really seen an explosive rate of adoption since then, but this has not stopped Google from introducing updates to the service, including SMS support and merged conversations. Having said that, it looks as though a new and improved Google Hangouts is on its way, carrying the code name ‘Ultra Violet’.
