Fresh styling inside and out, two petrols and one diesel engine on offer

Fiat Punto Evo

Fiat has launched the Punto Evo at Rs 4.55 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The Punto gets a styling update and is now called the Punto Evo. New exterior and interior design and a more upmarket interior are the major draws for the Punto Evo. Fiat is offering the car with a choice of three engines – a 1.2-litre and a 1.4-litre petrol unit and a 1.3-litre diesel engine. The diesel will be available in two states of tune – 75PS and 93PS.

The Punto has always been an attractive looking car but with the update, the Punto Evo looks more contemporary. In comes a large front grille that blends well with the swept back headlights and trapezoidal chrome bezels add some bling to the fog lamps. The rear bumpers sport a similar design as well with chrome surrounds for the rear fog lamp and reversing lamp. The LED taillights add an up-market feel to the rear. While a lot of changes have been made to the front and rear of the car, the profile remains unchanged. The only noteworthy difference is the alloys which are different for the petrol and the diesel variant.

Space in the rear is ample and three passengers can sit abreast comfortably. The large hatchback will take on the Volkswagen Polo, the new Hyundai i20 and the Swift in this premium hatchback segment.
